Be Fantastic – don’t use plastic!
Emballage Bee Sustainable offers sustainable, nature-based solutions to replace your personal plastics use. According to owner Eveline Lemieux, “I always wanted to do something for the environment, to be part of the solution, not the problem. Collectively, we need to overcome our dependence on fossil fuels, and beeswax food wrap is a small but important step in that direction”.
Eveline added that since cotton production is very resource-intensive, the use of recycled cotton reduces the environmental impact. Her beeswax comes from small, local producers. Eveline’s family is also involved in the beeswax food wrap project; her two sons help with the business, and her 92 year old mother. Beeswax food wraps are available in sets of three sizes or four sizes (20, 25, 30 and 35 cm2). They are also sold in plantable boxes embedded with wildflowers that attract bees. DIY sets are also available; these are a great way to spend family and friend time together.
Eveline offers virtual workshops on how to make your beeswax food wrap. Stay tuned for the next one!
